Ultrasonic Horizontal Sprue Cutter

Ultrasonic Horizontal Sprue Cutter is a high-efficiency, precise and automated sprue separation equipment developed for the injection molding industry. With a horizontal structure design, it can remove sprues without heavy pressure. It is compatible with robotic arms and can be seamlessly integrated into injection molding lines for fully automatic operation. Equipped with imported piezoelectric ceramic transducers and a digital intelligent generator, it delivers stable output with adjustable amplitude. It can quickly and cleanly separate sprues from various hard thermoplastics and some alloy products, leaving smooth, burr-free and non-whitened surfaces, greatly improving yield and productivity.

    Working Principle

    The equipment consists of an ultrasonic generator, transducer, sonotrode (horn), horizontal frame and intelligent control system. The generator converts mains AC into high-frequency electrical signals above 20kHz, which are transformed into mechanical vibrations of the same frequency via the piezoelectric effect of the transducer. Amplified by the sonotrode, the vibrations are precisely applied to the junction between the sprue and the part. Tens of thousands of high-frequency vibrations per second cause intense molecular friction, instant heat and stress concentration at the sprue, resulting in clean separation within 0.5–1 second with no burrs or marks, and no damage to the product body.
